Well Jen was here and now she is on her way to the land down under. I has such a great time with her this past week. Mommy bought us tickets to Disneyland for our birthdays this year, since she won't get to spend them with us. It was a blast. I was really sad that "It's a small World" was closed the day we went! The new Indiana Jones ride was awesome and we both agreed that we still love "Pirates of the Caribbean" We took the dogs to the beach one day and we did lots of eating out. Jen loves the self serve yogurt shop "White Lime" in town. Go figure that Jen would love icecream. Anyways keep her in your prayers as she begins this awesome journey and life changing experience. I know she is going to do amazing things and the Lord is going to use her in so many great ways! I start my new job tomorrow and I have to get used to working days for the next 3 months, then I switch to nights! (That will be quite the transition). Keep me in your prayers as well, cause I am not a morning person to say the least! Ciao~

The Beginning

Well where do we begin. We moved out here in October of 2008 to get away from the scary people that we know in Ohio. No seriously, I just graduated from nursing school in August and we figured what a great opportunity to start my new career and our life together. The trip out here was one that I do not plan to be making again anytime soon, Steven agrees!
Steven started working at Circuit City(not one that is closing) about 4 weeks after we arrived in Temecula. He recently was hired on as a traditional employee and is going to start receiving bonuses, which is amazing because he was the No. 1 seller for the Holiday season! The sooner we get that 1080p, 120Hz LCD 52" big screen the better.
I went to about half a dozen interviews before I finally landed a job. Goes to show how bad the economy is when I have a degree in the "most demand" field in the market. I am blessed to be starting a position in the ICU at Palomar Pomerado Health System in Escondido. It is a great opportunity, amazing pay and opens numerous doors to my nursing career right off the bat!
We are living in the Somerset Apartments, which is okay for now. We hope to lease/buy when our 6month leases is up here. The housing market is really low so getting into a decent house should not be to hard this summer! We are about 45 minutes from the beach and San Diego. We try to avoid Los Angeles at all costs, so if you are planning to visit please come into San Diego.
